Canoe Expeditions What Do I Need For A 7 Day Outdoor Expedition?

What do I need for a 7 day outdoor expedition? - canoe expeditions

I try, what things you on a 7-day and understand the Portage canoe trip in Bowron Lake, British Columbia, Canada to go. Everything is out there, and I'm going camping every night. This will be a little cold, but never below zero. The trick is to keep all devices on 60 pounds, because that is all what is allowed. What are the essential elements that try to do too?

You do not mention whether you or reduce a group - whether with a group that shares equipment (tent, stove and fuel, water filter) weight. Here is a sample list:

Good walking shoes (I prefer the neoprene NRS Canoe / Kayak)
Backpack with rain cover
Topographic map (s)
Compass
Gorp (trail food / snacks)

Whistle
Emergency Mirror
First-aid kit (including moleskin)

Tent (as mentioned above, you can use a group share)
Sleeping bag (10 degrees colder than expected to sleep)
Mats

Flashlight / headlamp (with extra batteries)
an insect bite stick
Solar
Repellent
Toilet Paper
Shovel, trowel, shovel or
Fixed Blade

vi / ax
lighter parties /

2.4 Water Bottles Nalgene 1L
Water (as I noted previously, a group share)

Herd back (as mentioned above, you can) that share
Stove fuel (as mentioned above, you can use a group share)

Cooking utensils and, Tools (1 cup, 1 spoon / fork or Spork)
Packages of dried food (I prefer the brand Mountain House)
- Day Breakfast Extra X 7 1 (attached)
- Dinner x 7 + 1 additional day (when)

Repair Kits (package, pad, stove, filters, etc.)
Zip-Loc bags for waste
Rainwear
Fleece jacket, hat, gloves and

Good luck and have a good time. I'm jealous.

I love the boat can not be said for this part of Portage. I hate carrying canoes through the forest. You know how long and how often the ports? I try to keep my weight well below 60 pounds.

I think I'll be able to get dinner on the way, if you're not tired of things very lyophilized. Are you a supplement to your diet with fish on the way? If so, can a telescopic rod to be bought and you can add your part. A regular wave is probably flat expired 7 days ago.

What are your plans for the site? Are tents and stoves, or other, every man for himself? Is the limit of 60 pounds are common? An alternative could be a camp light or hammock.

Pay special attention to the art of survival and personal equipment. Ask your colleagues for camping equipment for the group.

Wish I was going!

You'llHave found largely on personal preference. But first and experience, I recommend the following:

A screen will be used as mulch to tourself dry your equipment.

Many of Ziploc bags.

I think the weight limit to make it more than you think you have to save much energy. I like the textured soy protein. It looks like ground meat when reconstituted.

Water Purifier "Maybe iodine tablets. You will not be able to have enough water and the weight limit to carry.

Several types of clothing with several layers. Socks. Map of socks changes each time you stop and stay dry and comfortable.

PAD cells deprived of sleep, light and useful.

First-aid kit, moleskin and antiseptics for the day of injury through the days.

Orientation? A good compass and Ranger and runners continue beads.
